A glitter path, or moon path, is a shimmering trail of light, stretching from the horizon across the water to the viewer. Small waves and ripples create tiny mirror-like surfaces facing different directions. Each point of light seen is a separate reflection of the moon hitting a wave at the exact right angle. As the water moves in the wind, the individual glints flash and disappear, creating a continuous glowing path.
