A vessel heavy in the stern, mostly propellor,  remarkably could overtake all vessels when the swizele pinion gear was engaged.  Her forward arrangement was no less remarkable: a bow-mounted wave divertor, ingeniously controlled by a toot sensor fitted to the very tip of the prow, enabled her to crest oncoming waves with uncanny precision.
