The Yamule was a work horse submersible used to generate electricity to recharge the batteries of long range combat vessels. A bow mounted scoop moved water into a turbine midship producing an electrical charge that flowed to a giant battery through two separate giant cables modeled after knob and tube wiring current in houses and homes at the turn of the century.
