This painting titled: “Ocean Unity” (“Apaqtk Mawo'ltimk”) displays five lobsters (Jakej) gathering together spiritually and physically to support each other. Inside the lobsters are the Mi’kmaq Star, double curve designs and the Mi’kmaq Hieroglyphs for “Mi’kmaq Peace Forever”. Below the lobsters, is also a large Mi’kmaq double curve floral design which represents the spiritual life, beauty, and harmony of the ocean.
