From the Ocean Harmony (Apaqtk Wantaqo'ti) Collection (2022)

This original acrylic painting titled: “Ocean Respect” (“Apaqtk Kepmite'taqn”) displays two seals(waspu’k) supporting their community not only physically, but, spiritually. Inside the seals are the Mi’kmaq Star, and two double curve floral designs. The fishing shacks (nme’jui’kan) display the Mi’kmaq Hieroglyphs “Mi’kmaq Strength Forever” to show that the village are receiving spiritual strength, support, and respect from the seals.
